Waiting for the Start

“Waiting for the Start”
From Finding Estrella

At sunrise, the empty grandstands of Phoenix Raceway meet the profile of Estrella Mountain. Clouds gather ahead of approaching storms, and a place built for speed and spectacle rests quietly beneath a changing sky.

I’m drawn to the point where the grandstands end and the mountain emerges. Two very different forms sharing the horizon.
