Mornings Often Leave
Mornings Often Leave
For the past several weeks I’ve been working on a new long-term photographic project called Mornings Often Leave.
The work explores ordinary places during the transition between night and day, when familiar landscapes briefly become something quieter and less certain. Returning to the same locations over time, I’m interested in how light, atmosphere, and the slow transformation of the desert reshape places we often overlook.
This photograph, Avondale I, is one of the first images from the project.
In the desert, mornings often leave quickly. So do the landscapes tied to them.
